Inn on the Green

www.innonthegreenbristol.com

2 Filton Rd, Horfield, Bristol BS7 0PA

We are a proper Local with a hint of Country Pub, to make your lunchtimes social and your evenings cosy.

We believe Pubs can be sooo much more than places to eat and drink. They are community assets; a place where colour, creed, wealth and politics mean very little. You can leave all the nonsense at the door like a wet umbrella or a pair of muddy boots, and simply be yourself and relax. Did we mention you can bring your four legged friends too? Everyone knows that Puppers make EVERYTHING better, right?!

Something to celebrate? come and have a beer! Something to commemorate? Come and have a beer! Bored? COME AND HAVE A BEER at The Out on the Green!!!

Oak (veg)

www.oakrestaurant.co.uk

2 North Parade Passage, Off Abbey Green, Bath BA1 1NX

When Acorn re-open it will be as OAK

We make good food first, tasty and nutritious. OAK is a place for raucous good times with friends, to whisper quietly in the snug or idly enjoy lunch whilst crowds saunter past the window.

We also want to do something more. At its core Oak it is about the soil, about the land, what we put into it and what we take out of it. It has long frustrated us how hard it is to find everyday food that uses ingredients as they should be: grown in soil that has had nothing chemical added. Our wine and drinks will all be low intervention, grown naturally and fermented without interference.

Acorn is definitely not going away, we will have more news on this soon but for now we feel the need for OAK more. Acorn proved that plants can be special, OAK goes back to basics and gets it right from the soil up.

Everything is made vegan but there are 2/3 dishes that can be made veggie. All uses of cheese have cashew cream alternative or similar. Menu up on the website.

An independent restaurant, bar, live music venue and arts space in the heart of Gloucester Rd, Bristol.

Eat seasonal British food, drink great coffee, local ales and ciders. Listen to the best Bristol live musicians & DJ’s. Check out the work of emerging artists featured throughout the venue.

What does the word ‘gallimaufry’ mean? Once a hodgepodge stew of humble ingredients made on the galleys, it evolved to represent up-cycled things to wear and use around the home. Our interpretation? Making the best out of what’s available to us on a daily basis. Re-using, up-cycling or re-cycling; working with local suppliers, artists & artisans wherever possible. The venue was transformed in 5 days on the site of the former Prom Music Bar with a shoe-string budget in March, 2012.

We support, accept and trade the Bristol Pound (we’re the Gloucester Rd access point).

Galli plates – our take on tapas style small plates – are available day and night during kitchen hours. We split our menu into vegetarian, fish & meat options for clarity and there’s always 2 vegan dishes on offer. Pop in to try our 3 selected dishes for £15 offer 12-7pm, Monday-Friday! We take great pride in our Sunday roasts. Our vegan nut roast – currently cashew and pecan – is a tasty alternative. All served with seasonal vegetables.

There’s an exciting modern beer scene emerging in Bristol. At any one time you can choose from 6 cask/keg ales, a plethora of local bottled beers. Local beers we stock include: Arbor, Left Handed Giant, Moor and Wiper & True. We change our offer weekly.
