Dev’s Kerala

180, Gloucester Road, Bishopston, Bristol BS7 8NU

We can make most of the food vegan on request.

When it comes to food, Kerala is indeed rich with its numerous authentic delicacies. At Devs, we strive to bring you the best Keralite food there is; delicious, home-cooked, made with the same love, care and thoughtfulness that a mother would devote. Keralites prepare a good variety of both vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Food is the most basic link between ourselves and our environment. Inspired by our own school of hospitality in Kerala which all our chefs attend, we feel we have made this possible.

We use only sunflower oil. We provide outdoor catering and hall for small parties. Opening hours 6 pm to 11 pm; Tuesdays Closed.

Oowee Vebab (vegan)

54a, Picton Street, Montpelier, Bristol BS6 5QA

NOW OPEN!

To all our Picton Street Customers, as of today (08/07/2019), our Oowee Diner Picton Street Store has closed its doors for good. It has been a fantastic 3 years and a great launchpad for our brand and we thank you all for being part of the journey with us.

We will however be opening the doors again at the end of August with a fresh concept, Oowee Vebab!

Oowee Vebab will take the site back to its roots to a Kebab shop with a twist, it will be 100% Vegan. We have been working really hard to develop a kebab that we feel is much more tasty than the meat alternative, which will be enjoyed by everyone, not just vegans. All our sauces, pickled chilli’s and meats will be made in house, and breads and salads fresh every day to guarantee the best tasting kebabs around.

Alongside kebabs we will be serving a range of cheese burgers, dirty fries, chicken nuggets and sides (all vegan too) just how we do it in our other sites.

It is a really exciting time for us, and with the popularity of our first Oowee Vegan on Baldwin Street with not only Vegans but a lot of regular meat eaters too loving the food as much as and sometimes more than the meat alternatives, we wanted to try our hand at something new and fresh. We will keep you all updated with the re-opening and post lots of delicious food pictures of whats to come in due course.

Don’t sweat too all our meat eating customers, our North Street restaurant will still remain as an Oowee Diner, serving the meat menu, and will be bringing you lots of forward thinking, delicious specials very soon too,

Big love to you all for your continued support,

Team Oowee x

The Kandyan

www.thekandyan.co.uk

405 Gloucester Road, Bristol BS7 8TS

The Kandyan was founded by the owners of Rangala Guest house in upcountry Sri Lanka. Head Chef Sam and joint owner of Rangala has an eclectic background yet remains in part grounded in tradition.

The Sri Lankan spices grown in his market garden surrounding Rangala House provide an important link between the two projects. Chef Sam is not only using home grown spices, but is also using home-roasted curry powder, his own grown tea, and traditional Sri Lankan techniques. Having lived in Bristol for 9 years, Sam truly is the Bristol Kandyan and in that vein is now growing local herbs in the restaurant’s back-garden and is innovating in his methods to fuse both his heritage and his experiences in England and beyond.

You’ll find service with a smile, an inclusive menu that is predominantly gluten free with plenty of vegan options. The cooking is versatile and you can ask for the curry to be as hot as you like it.
