We’ve spent years working really hard to establish a strong customer base in our beloved home city of Bristol, and in that time we’ve not only developed a reputation for great beer but also fun and popular events. We now hope to bring the community feel we’ve built at our brewery tap in East Bristol to our own pub.
The Good Chemistry Brewing team chose beers from some of our favourite breweries to share the bar alongside our own beers at ‘The Good Measure’, with permanent GCB beers on draught alongside a carefully curated line-up of both cask and keg brews from across the country. All GCB beers are unfined and unfiltered, so naturally hazy and suitable for vegans.
We’re also looking forward to running tap takeovers. We can’t wait to bring these breweries to Redland! Cheers!

Our wines come from Caruso & Minini, our family vineyard in Sicily where Great-Grandfather Antonio planted the first vines in the XIX century. From our family to yours, we hope you enjoy our authentic Italian experience.

We are a proper Local with a hint of Country Pub, to make your lunchtimes social and your evenings cosy.
We believe Pubs can be sooo much more than places to eat and drink. They are community assets; a place where colour, creed, wealth and politics mean very little. You can leave all the nonsense at the door like a wet umbrella or a pair of muddy boots, and simply be yourself and relax. Did we mention you can bring your four legged friends too? Everyone knows that Puppers make EVERYTHING better, right?!

Our new home drum roll please….The Golden Lion.
We are a start up family run vegan business that is passionate to bring to Bristol our soulful family style BBQ food. I was introduced to veganism by my family in America 17 years ago, They showed me that to be meat-free didn’t mean your food had to be bland and lack soul. Some of these recipes are recipes that have been passed down to me and its exciting to share the world with these delights.
Music is the food for the soul, and we are here to prove to you our food is too! Our aim is not to exclude meat eaters but introduce them to what a plant-based diet can really be, soulful, tasty and succulent! Nothing brings people together like good food – And we can promise you that our food is good.

Our Brewpub was crowdfunded, with 1500 people investing in our small company. We are incredibly proud to be the custodians of a site that has over 250 years of brewing history within its walls.
