Flowers & Thorn (vegan)

www.flowersandthorn.co.uk

I started in Bristol in 2014 exploring and enjoying again my childhood love of roses. Using my passion I combine roses with some of my favourite things, chocolate, tea and gorgeous English summer fruits.

Ecuador with its equatorial climate and fertile soils produces some of the finest cocoa beans in the world. I use Ecuadorian beans only and so describe my chocolate as ‘Single Origin’ and combine it with  the finest organic Persian Rose Oil which is literally worth its weight in Gold. I blend aromatic teas with organic English roses, and adore the delicate scents. Delectable English strawberries and raspberries which I love are blended with highly fragrant rose petals in my preserves.

Yes everything is vegan as am I. My philosophy is to make delicious things but not shout about the vegan aspect so non vegans won’t even notice that the dairy is missing.

ALL VEGAN • 100% NATURAL • GLUTEN FREE • DAIRY FREE

Lifelong friends with a shared passion for food Johnny and I decided to put our heads together and develop a range of flavoured falafels and houmous. Inspired by Johnny’s many years working in some of the top restaurants in Bristol and by my own life-long commitment to being a vegetarian and a strong advocate of animal welfare we, decided to produce foods that were gluten free and suitable for vegans as well as being healthy and above all delicious for anyone.

We started off hand rolling each of our falafels in our commercial kitchen in Bristol. We used traditional recipes but with the addition of popular fruits, veg and our own special twist such as Butternut Squash & Nutmeg, Beetroot, Sweet Potato & Basil. The products we have developed have proved hugely popular to an ever increasing number of outlets.

Even good cooks enjoy a night off. As one wrote in to tell us: “I love cooking and that’s why I love COOK… good food cooked as I would.” Since 1997, we’ve been taking some of the strain in the kitchen to give people more time for what really matters … So, whenever you don’t have the time or inclination, we COOK so you don’t have to.

Delicious vegan meals prepared by hand at the COOK Kitchen, ready to cook straight from frozen. A great range of tasty vegan recipes. Please note that we don’t have separate areas or processes, so whilst all the ingredients in these meals are vegan we cannot claim vegan certification.

Jacobs Finest (veg)

www.jacobsfinest.com

Since we took over, we have been looking into ways to improve different aspects of our falafels – packaging, shelf life, how to make our falafels healthier without compromising on taste, etc. We worked with a flavour consultant to improve and enhance the flavours, ingredients and consistency of our falafels and our efforts have been successful. Our new falafels are tastier, softer and most of our flavours fits into the most trending category of our times – High protein food, if not a source of protein and are also high in fibre also making it a good supplement for meat. Our aim is to promote good vegan food.

All our falafels are made at our unit in Bristol by a team of enthusiastic falafel lovers. We take utmost care to ensure every falafel that comes out of our unit is yumm…

precious-pod

We are a small, ethical food company making award-winning organic, vegan, handmade houmous / hummus. Natural Vitality is rebranding as The Precious Pod!

We are a small business that makes organic dips, salads, soups & cakes. Our main aim is to make brilliantly tasty, vibrant, nutritious food that everyone can enjoy. We’re accredited by the Soil Association and everything we make is produced in line with strict organic standards.

We know it can be hard to find tasty food when you’ve got an allergy to consider. As such, whilst we’re not an allergy-free kitchen, all of our food is dairy-, gluten-, and wheat-free. We’ve had our products tested for gluten so we’re licensed to use Coeliac UK’s crossed grain symbol to make it easier for those with a gluten intolerance to identify that our food is safe to eat.

All of our offerings are also vegan and the vast majority have no added sugar.

Aromafoods (vegan)

www.aromafoods.org.uk

Aromafoods is a ‘Taste of the West’ multiple award winning local, ethical and sustainable family business established by Peter and Zsuzsanna Horvath in 2002.

We specialize purely in plant based, animal free & gluten free snacks and sandwich fillings. We operate out of a 100% Vegan & Gluten Free production kitchen in Corston nr Bath.

Vegetarian / Vegan foods often contain nuts. We however decided at the very outset, that Aromafoods should also embrace those who are allergic to nuts, as Peter used to be during his childhood years. He grew out of it naturally, but remembers the years of discomfort to the point of torture that came with nut allergy. Aromafoods’ snacks are all handmade, free from any GM ingredients, alcohol, mushrooms or soya beans as there is a growing number of people who are allergic to them. The majority of Aroma-snacks do not contain added sugar to make them suitable for diabetics and some are extra low in added salt.
