Dating back to the 17th century, the Volunteer Tavern (‘Volly’ amongst friends) is conveniently located near Cabot Circus shopping centre in the heart of Bristol. We are tucked away amongst the trees – just far enough from the hustle and bustle of City life – and have a largely covered, walled garden.​

Proud to be Bristol’s only Real Living Wage pub.

Inside, we are a small but perfectly formed wood-panelled pub that is proud to have built a reputation over the last five years for great beers, real ales, fine wines and very tasty homemade food (especially Sunday Roasts).  And in 2016 we were CAMRA’s Bristol & District branch pub of the year.

We’ve recently started brewing our own beer on-site – powered by renewable electricity – and are currently producing two vegan options: Volly Pale & Tiptoe’s Tipple…
