The Lounges’ are informal, neighbourhood food led cafe/bars open all-day everyday where families, friends, and locals can come for a coffee, a drink, or something to eat in a relaxed comfortable environment. The interiors are comfortable, inviting, and a bit eccentric.
See the website for the seperate vegan menu.

I am not a massive fan of the food in the Lounges although I am very grateful they do have vegan options. However this dark chocolate torte is lush!

I like the Lounges, I think it’s great that they have a separate menu for vegans (and a separate gluten free menu as well) and the variety to choose from is good – you’ve got the good old staple falafel burger, and admittedly falafel does pop up again and again. But there’s also curry, tapas, and a cooked breakfast to choose from.
Only thing I’ll say as a warning – be very clear that you’re ordering from the vegan menu.
My first ever experience of the Lounge wasn’t a positive one – The Falafel Burger on the vegan menu shares the exact same name as the burger on the non-vegan menu (which contains halloumi). So if, as I did, you order “the falafel burger”, you’ll end up with halloumi and then be made to feel that it was your own fault for not ordering “the falafel burger from the vegan menu”.
Why they can’t just give them two different names is beyond me, but there you go – as long as you’re clear, you’ll get a great meal.
