Hart’s Bakery was started in Autumn 2010 by local baker and chef Laura Hart. We specialise in sourdough, slow fermented breads and artisan pastries.

Our new bakery premises opened in December 2012, and is situated in a Victorian railway arch right outside Temple Meads station. We are really pleased to be part of an exciting time in this area.

First into the ovens in the morning are our sourdough loaves – made with just flour, water and salt. The long, slow fermentation gives excellent keeping quality and plenty of flavour.

All of our bread is vegan, we offer soy as an alternative in drinks and offer a number of vegan cakes. Our lunch special changes daily (published on twitter) and if often vegan on Tuesdays
